Your task is to prepare a 3 minute mini presentation on one aspect of the River Danube Baia Mare Pollution.
Work in threes:
Group 1) Describe the location of the Danube and its transboundary nature. Explain the issues this causes for management of water quality.
Group 2) Then explain the long term emvironmental issues in the River Danube. Examine the range of factors causing long term pollution
Group 3) Explain the role of TNCs in the point source pollution incident
Group 4) Examine the effects of the Danube pollution at a range of scales (long, short term, social, economic, environmental, political etc)
Group 5) Examine the responses to the pollution event (short and long term, local, national, international)
